There are several home remedies that are considered quite effective in the removal of acne scars.
Above all, make a point of drinking lots of water!. It can not be stressed enough how important water is to regenerate and revitalize the skin. There is no effective way to moisturize skin naturally by drinking plenty of water.
Your diet plays in fact much more important part in rejuvenating your skin that you might make. Eating plenty of fruit, vegetable and green salad can actually help heal those scars. Especially citrus such as oranges, grapefruit and juice from lemons and limes.
Other natural remedies
There are various natural healing oils you can try (as you do not suffer from particularly greasy or oily skin), including olive oil, the rose hip seed oil and lavender oil. These are natural moisturizers that can help the scars to eventually become less prominent. Collagen cream is also effective.
Other things you can try are combinations of honey, aloe vera, sandalwood and rose water. And this might sound nasty, but if you make a mask of yogurt, sour cream and oatmeal and apply it regularly, you could be pleasantly surprised with the results.
Ice packs
A tip worth trying is to wrap some ice cubes in a cloth and rub against their scars for up to fifteen minutes on a regular basis (daily, ideally). The ice packs can really work magic with scarring.
As mentioned above, if the scar is really bad, then the best thing to do is visit your doctor. But if not, then one or more of the above remedies should really help.
