It wasn’t long ago that I was an acne-riddled high school student, spending my lonely Friday nights playing online video games that kept me awake for several hours throughout the night. I’ve come across many women who think video games are about as interesting as watching the WNBA, which I’m told still exists somewhere on ESPN 8, “the Ocho. Video games get huge production budgets these days, but that’s no surprise considering it’s a multi-billion dollar industry where some of the best-selling games are more like interactive movies. I’ve heard plenty of people say that they love how easy the Wii is to enjoy, even if they’ve never played video games. So the next time you think that video games are dorky, go ask a few people if they’ve played a Playstation, Xbox or Wii recently. read more
